Safer roads and streets

Met with residents and transportation engineering staff to implement traffic calming on Walker Road, Cranston Drive, Jean Street, Albert Spencer Drive, Henry Wilson Drive and Old Church Road, resulting in speed humps, stop signs, enhanced pavement markings and crosswalks in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Asked the Region of Peel to lower speed limits on Airport Road and Old Church Road to 40 km/h, which was completed in June 2025.

Negotiated with the Region of Peel for traffic signals at Walker Road and Airport Road, installed in June 2026.

Advocated for truck prohibitions in Caledon East along Airport Road and Old Church Road, implemented by the Region of Peel on July 1, 2026.

Requested a September 2025 staff report on Ontario's decision to terminate automated speed enforcement. The report confirmed Caledon's school-zone and community-safety-zone cameras were reducing speeding and unsafe driving.

Installed new AODA-compliant entrance gates along with safety and wayfinding signage along the Caledon Trailway and adjacent roads in 2025 and 2026.

Brought forward Henry Wilson Drive residents' request for a stop sign to reduce speeding. Council approved it in July 2026.

Clarified rules around e-scooters in Caledon in June 2026.
